Hey friends! You may have recently seen my COVID-19 post, if you haven’t checked that out, please do - I poured my heart out sharing how I feel during this season of uncertainty as well as updates and commitments for all of my amazing clients that I am unable to serve at this time.

Today, I need to share some exciting news about a new chapter of my life that I am getting ready to embark on. While I have been quiet, observing and seeing what’s open to me during this quarantine period, I’ve reconnected with the passion that I have for health and wellness, and in many ways I forgot that it was there this whole time. Being able to step into it further during this season, I have recognized that I would like to pursue becoming a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP).

The NTP program is a 10-month program to receive certification, set to complete in March 2021. I’m so excited for this new journey, and at the same time I want you to know that nothing is changing in regards to One Beautiful Life Photo! While I have gone full-time with my photography work, photography only takes up a part-time schedule for me - and I’ve done this intentionally.

In order to keep my creative charge at full operation, I am only able to work so many hours a week. If I push myself too hard, I get drained creatively that I’m unable to show up for my clients in the best possible way, so I am naturally very protective of my schedule.

In fact, it’s why it took me so long to go full time. I once read in the book Big Magic, to never put financial demand on your creativity. I believed this, but when my husband schedule changed this year, my part-time work had to also, leading me to full-time photography.

While I was so thrilled to work from home and full-time on my craft, I did not expect that just three months later, COVID-19 would take out a good portion of the year for photography. The flip side of this loss? It has showed me the principal of not financially depend on our creativity, and that now more than ever have capacity to pursue a huge dream! Becoming certified as an NTP. This is a huge part of my story and a massive passion of mine to help people in practical ways revolving around their health, nutrition and overall wellness.

If you’d like to read more about what has been a fifteen year journey for me, you can find more on my website here, If you have an interest in wellness and nutrition and would like to follow me along my journey to certification, I’m showing up on Instagram at @reallifewholelife or you can join my Facebook Group here.

Out of respect for how I run my business and setting natural boundaries between the two, my photography social media accounts will always remain as only that content and not have any nutritional elements mixed in, so you will have to follow my new accounts if you’d like to see these updates.

I am hoping we can get back to taking photos again real soon and pursuing this huge dream of mine has created a whole new level of passion for my photography as well. I hope that you have also discovered some “now or never” ultimatums in your own life with your own dreams! Photography is still the love of my life and one of my greatest joys. I cannot wait until we can get to shoot once again and I can see your smiling face!
